The Shut the Box Compendium can be played by many players with all its fantastic different shut the box games! Set includes Jaques Shut the Box dice (5 poker and 2 regular dice) and playing cards. Shut the Box is a dice game for one or more players. The object of the game is to cover all the numbers, or "shut the box" according to who throws the dice. The origin of Shut the Box is unknown, but the game can be traced back to the 19th Century in France. The game did not appear in England, however, until the mid 20th Century.
